day 3 ** S.F. & Sonoma

Went to Golden Gate Park, walked through the Japanese gardens, decided not to pay $10 to walk through the conservatory (“we can see flowers at home” per my husband). Listened to a jazz band. Got lost but ended up at some pull off with great oceans views and a perfect shot of the Golden Gate Bridge. Drove to Presidio, went to the Exploratorium. Spent time @ the Golden Gate Bridge & then headed further north. Arrived in Sonoma (Windsor to be exact). We had a beautiful condo. Shopped for groceries, mulled around town. The town of Windsor was named in 1855 when Hiram Lewis, a pony express rider, decided that the area's pastoral beauty reminded him of the grounds surrounding Windsor Castle in his native England.
