{Craft Time!!!} A non-pregnancy post!

Did I just ruin it by putting pregnancy in the title? I feel like that's all life is at this point, and I am desperate to share something else with you!

So, wa-laa ... CRAFT TIME {from 2 months ago!, LOL}

Jay and I needed to make thank you cards for adoption day {which I still haven't actually mailed yet, see - told you life sort of came to a halt!}.

Step One: We filled a large cake pan {it's actually not a cake pan, but the name of the pan escapes me at the moment, thus you get 'cake pan'} with shaving cream. We used the cheap Barbasol kind, which actually smells kinda yummy.

Step Two: Smooth cream out with a squeegee. Drop in some food coloring and spread it around with a toothpick. Personally, I only had yellow and blue flood coloring handy, so that's what we went with.

Step Three: Take paper {I used blank greeting cards, the kind you get from Michaels, but you could easily use a sheet of cardstock} and lay ontop of said colored shaving cream. Then "tap, tap, tap" the paper into the shaving cream. Carefully lift and let dry {this actually took a few days because of the thickness of the cream we left on the paper}.

Step Four: Allow child to play in leftover shaving cream, because it's fun and harmless and who doesn't like to get messy?

Step Five: Become irritated at step four when you walk back outside after putting some stuff away and see that said child played with said shaving cream by rubbing it all over your wicker furnature. Decide maybe you weren't really up for craft time given the state of things. Make child wash patio with hose and thank your sweet Jesus when you see how easily it washes away!

Step Six: Once cards {or paper} are dry, blot any excess cream off and wa-la! You have a beautiful marbled creation. We had fun! And seriously, we LOVE how they turned out. Now only if I can get them in the mail.
