10 years of marriage .:part three:.

We originally planned a actual vacation for our anniversary, but Ella is not at a place where she is ready to be left for a long stretch of time, so we just stole a few days. I was bummed, but I am pretty certain I wouldn’t have been able to be away any longer myself … apparently, I am one of those moms.

Anyway, we had a nice little getaway. We were able to completely relax in an amazingly beautiful atmosphere. We had several really nice, long meals – you know the kind where you don’t have to fight over peas or clean up piles of something orangeish that ended up all over the floor. The kind where we could sit at a courtyard table for hours and some person kept refilling our tea cups and offering us more dessert. Those kind. Also the kind where you just put on a robe and everything you ever wanted for breakfast is brought to your room patio on a bed tray, like … at 10am. After you’ve just rolled off the most comfortable bed ever. Yup, those kind. We never once left the resort, there was no need – plenty of beauty to explore and spa’s to entice us. Here’s to another 10 years!
